Any ideas about what I should do to create fade in and face out points on my titles would be greatly appreciated. Also there is no physical key frame diamonds anywhere on the time line even thought they seem to be set in the inspector. When I play back the title sequence I can see the slider moving from zero to 100% and back at the key frame points but the actual title remains at zero throughout the viewing. Move to where I want the title to start to fade and add another key frame then another key frame where I want the title at zero opacity again and add a final key frame. Move to where I want the title to be at 100% opacity and add another key frame moving the slider to 100%. Watch on Fade All your Clips in Final Cut Pro X In this episode, Steve shows you a great trick for fading a stack of graphics or clips in your timeline all at once in Final Cut Pro X by using a generator. Set the opacity to zero and click on add key frame. Go to inspector window and open FACE window. Open up video animation editor and click on Composting Opacity. For example, I have clip B straight after clip A and I want clip B to start with a fade from black, I can't just add a cross dissolve to the beginning of it like you can in FCP 7 as the cross dissolve is forced across both clips. I'm a newcomer to FCP X and am struggling with a fade up from/to black. I'm trying to create a Title that fades in and out with FCP-X version 0.9. In the Final Cut Pro timeline, Control-click a fade handle and choose a fade option: Linear: Maintains a constant rate of change over the length of the fade. Apologies if this has been asked many times.
